The Lido di Capoliveri beach

The Lido di Capoliveri beach is about 500 metres long and 20 to 30 metres wide. It has a sandy bottom that slopes gently into the sea and a warmer temperature than the beaches on the other sides thanks to its south facing orientation.

Its shape is therefore ideal for families with children, not least because of the many facilities available: beach clubs, windsurfing schools, dinghy, and parasol hire, pedalos, bars and restaurants.

In front of the campsite and on the left-hand side there are stretches of free beach.

A cliff on the left-hand side separates the main beach from the smaller Calanchiole beach, while on the right-hand side an underground passage leads to a battery post from the Second World War and on to Felciaio beach.

Looking at the horizon, the outline of the island of Montecristo is visible on a clear day.
